In Short
This unit involves the skills and knowledge to operate a forklift in a working environment. This course is designed to enable participants to operate a fork lift truck in adherence with OH&S guidelines.
Prerequisites
None, but the 1 day experienced course requires participants to have previous experience operating forklifts.

Course Content
To successfully complete the course, participants must demonstrate achievement of each element:
1. Check Forklift condition
Forklift condition and log books are checked for compliance with OH&S and workplace requirements.
2. Drive the Forklift
3. Operate a Forklift to Handle Loads
Operate the forklift to life, carry and lower a load under controlled conditions.
4. Monitor Site Conditions
5. Monitor and Maintain Forklift Performance
